Synopsis
Endometriosis (endo) is a complex chronic disease that is challenging to manage and live with. The symptoms can make everyday activities challenging, lead to missed school or work, and impact personal relationships, social life and mental health.
The Endometriosis Network Canada (TENC) is dedicated to providing unwavering support to, and enhancing the lives of individuals living with endometriosis in Canada. Strut was engaged to help TENC with the development of a new brand, website, patient and family resources, a workbook targeting youth about periods, and a comprehensive advertising campaign that ran across Canada throughout March, which is Endometriosis Awareness Month.

Visual Identity
The logo for The Endometriosis Network Canada (TENC) was designed to create a bold visual identity aimed at transforming the organization’s brand and boosting its presence in the healthcare not-for-profit sector. The design is contemporary and unique, projecting a compassionate, calming, and supportive demeanour while symbolizing the organization’s growth. The icon is an abstract take on the letter ‘E’ for ‘Endo,’ as can be seen in both the negative and positive space within the organic shape. It also reflects a yellow endo awareness ribbon.
Website Design & Development
Because of the nature of the subject matter and the lack of understanding around endo, the website needed to be informative and easy to navigate. TENC has many patient resources that are valuable assets to empower those affected by it. The Endo Hub was created to house all of this content with robust filtering.
Online Resources
Strut was provided with the content to design a functioning workbook for youth, both those who experience periods and those who don’t. Additionally, we were tasked to create multi-page patient resources that anyone can download or read online.
Marketing Campaign
Endometriosis is considered one of the top 20 most painful diseases in the world. Seeking medical help can sometimes lead to dismissive responses like ‘it’s nothing’ or ‘it’s just your period’. On average, it can take up to 5 years before someone is diagnosed. This is not normal. We created three commercials to show viewers what living with endometriosis pain can look like and to emphasize that living in pain is not normal. Our campaign was marketed across Canada for awareness purposes.
