Over the last 25 years, we’ve worked with local changemakers, national brands, and teams who care deeply about doing things right. Each project brings its own puzzle and each one leaves behind a lesson. Here are five moments from the work that challenged us, stretched us, and reminded us why we do what we do.
When you focus your energy, you multiply your impact.
Don’t spread thin. Build deep.
TC Energy wanted to do more than just give back—they wanted to make a lasting impact. We helped them bring all their community investments under one clear purpose: Build Strong.
From funding education and environmental projects to supporting local communities, this unified program made every dollar go further—and every story easier to tell.

If you don’t tell your story, someone else will.
Own your story
When College of the Rockies came to us, they had great programs, great locations, and a great story to tell, but their audience wasn’t hearing it.
We helped them rethink their positioning, rebuild their website, and refresh their brand so that more students could discover what made them different. Sometimes it’s not about changing who you are—it’s about learning how to say it louder, clearer, and with confidence.

When it comes to user experience, an ounce of prevention really is worth a pound of cure.
Even websites need a checkup
Calgary Foothills Primary Care Network had great services, but their outdated website wasn’t doing them—or their patients—any favours.
We helped give their website the checkup it needed: simplifying navigation, improving accessibility, and making it easier for people to find the care they were looking for.

People don’t invest in projects—they invest in possibilities.
If you want people to care, make them curious.
When TELUS Spark set out to raise $45 million to transform their science centre, they didn’t lead with numbers, they led with curiosity.
We worked with them to develop a case for support that didn’t just explain the campaign, but invited people to imagine what if? What if Calgary had a world-leading science centre? What if every visitor left inspired to change the world?

A strong brand doesn’t just attract clients—it rallies a team.
Build the brand before the blueprint
Alair Homes doesn’t just build custom homes—they’ve built North America’s largest custom home building network, with franchise owners who care deeply about their clients, their communities, and doing things the right way.
We worked with Alair on a refreshed brand strategy that brings clarity to their story and alignment across their growing network—then took it straight to San Diego to present it to franchise owners, in person. Oh, and we met Tom Cruise! 😉

Conclusion
The lessons are never one-size-fits-all. But when you step back, they reveal patterns—about clarity, conviction, and showing up with purpose.
